We believe that conditionality can help people into work by engaging them in employment support. For those who are able to work, their experience with their provider must be motivating and encouraging and provide appropriate recognition of their condition. This is why we employ qualified health professionals (physiotherapists, psychologists and occupational therapists) to work alongside our employment advisors to ensure the holistic needs of individuals are met.
Applying conditionality to the receipt of benefits also requires a fair and transparent system and appropriate levels of communication to ensure claimants fully understand the system.
Through our Ingeus Centre for Policy and Research, we have provided input to discussions on conditionality and its impact on increasing employment levels, based on our own research and experience.
