Building vibrant communities includes developing integration strategies for these groups to enable them to feel connected to their new community. This involves providing access to language resources, specifically around language for work; advice on transferable skills and how skills from former industries can be applied to new ones; assistance with accessing resources, education about the local labour market and establishing networks within the community.
While our welfare to work services have always assisted newcomers to the community, our specific competencies and expertise with this client group is being enhanced through a two year contract we commenced in Sweden in 2009.
