 WorkDirections was also a provider under the Government’s Job Network since its inception in 1998 and expanded with the acquisition of Your Employment Solutions in 2006. Assistance to all unemployed people in Australia is fully outsourced to the private sector and Ingeus was one of the largest private providers in the Job Network. We operated from 44 sites across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania and provided support and assistance to around 55,000 Australians each year.
Working closely with local businesses, community groups and Centrelink (Australia’s Government Benefits Agency), we assisted a range of people such as long-term unemployed, people at risk of becoming long-term unemployed, single parents, people with health conditions and Australia’s indigenous community.
From 19 years’ experience, we have developed best practice in the delivery of employment services and it was this strong foundation that supported our more recent growth in Europe. Ingeus now shares international best practice and knowledge across all the countries in which we operate.
 In May 2007, Ingeus’ Managing Director, Thérèse Rein, announced the sale of the Australian operating companies of the Ingeus Group comprising WorkDirections Australia, Your Employment Solutions and Clements (Ingeus’ recruitment agency) for personal reasons. This sale is now complete.
